In March 2025, the HNHB Regional Cancer Program proudly hosted 80 Endoscopy Nurses at Juravinski Hospital for the highly anticipated annual HNHB Endoscopy Nursing Education Day. This year’s event featured a dynamic lineup of expert-led presentations and hands-on experiences, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge to all attendees.
We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Suraj Sharma, Dr. David Armstrong, Dr. Dev Katarey, Dr. Eric Greenwald, and Lindsay Hamilton for sharing their expertise through a series of engaging presentations. Additionally, a special thank you to Dr. Samir Grover, Nikko Gimpaya and William Tran from the research team at Scarborough Health Network for leading participants through interactive endoscopy simulation exercises. The simulation stations were designed to develop both gross and fine motor skills, as well as practical knowledge essential for effective endoscopic procedures. The combination of expert talks and hands-on activities made this year’s event both impactful and memorable.
We also express our heartfelt gratitude to Richard Petten, who attended and shared his personal journey. His openness and insights were deeply appreciated and contributed to the growth and dedication of the team in enhancing patient care.
The success of the 2025 HNHB Regional Nursing Education Day was made possible thanks to our generous sponsors and the enthusiastic participation of all attendees. We look forward to hosting another exceptional event next year!
